How can my friend who uses Messenger Tigo send me messages to my cellphone?
He/she has to add your Tigo cellphone number to his/her contact list. Once he/she did this, you’ll receive a SMS message with an authorization request. Reply OK to this message and you both will be connected through Messenger Tigo . (Your friend will not be able to send you any message from Messenger Tigo to your cellphone until you authorize him/her). Once authorized, your friend will be able to send you messages which you’ll receive as SMS messages.
How do I reply to a message sent to me by my friend who uses Messenger Tigo?
Just reply to the SMS message you received like you would reply to any other SMS message and your friend will receive your reply on his computer. Note: If your friend signed out of Messenger Tigo, your reply will not be delivered and you’ll be notified about this.

If your friend hasn’t created a Messenger Tigo account yet, you can invite him to do so by sending a SMS message to 15012 with his/her e-mail address in the body of the message. An invitation will be automatically sent to him/her with the instructions on how to create a Messenger Tigo account so that he/she can start chatting with you.

You can download and install the PC version of Messenger Tigo found in the "Download PLUS" section. Unlike the web version, this version allows you to send group messages and to connect to other instant messaging networks.
How do I create my username and password to start using Messenger Tigo?
Once you installed Messenger Tigo, click ‘New User’. A form will appear which you’ll have to fill out with the required information in order to create your Messenger Tigo account. When you’re done, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provided. Click on the link you’ll receive in that e-mail to complete the process of activating your Messenger Tigo account.
The username you chose when you created your account will be the one that the persons will see on their cellphones when you send them messages using Messenger Tigo.
During the creation of your Messenger Tigo account, you can associate your account to your Tigo cellphone number. By doing this, you’ll be creating a Messenger Tigo PLUS account which gives you the following additional features:
• Send programmed messages
• Send group messages
• Centralize your MSN, AOL, ICQ and Yahoo! accounts in Messenger Tigo
The first time you log on Messenger Tigo, you’ll be asked to enter your usernames and passwords for the main instant messaging networks of the world. You must not have an account in each of them to start using Messenger Tigo, but if you have, enter the username and password and start chatting with the contacts you already have. Note: If you don't click on the link in the confirmation e-mail, your account will not be activated and you will not be able to log on to Messenger Tigo.
I forgot my password, what should I do?
If you forgot your password, you can generate a new one by clicking on ‘Forgot your password?’
By doing this, a new window will appear where you’ll have to enter the e-mail address you provided during sign up. After entering the e-mail address, click ‘Submit’. The new password will be sent to this e-mail address.
How do I know how many free messages I have left?
Click ‘Users’ on the menu bar and choose ‘Check free messages’. A message saying how many free messages you have left will appear.
I have no more free messages, how can I continue sending messages?
If you’ve used all of your free messages, you’ll be informed about this. To continue sending messages from Messenger Tigo, your Tigo cellphone contact has to send you a message.
How can I activate the PLUS features?
Click on the menu 'Settings' and choose the option 'Activate PLUS'. A window where you can choose the prefix of your cell phone number will appear. Enter your number and save the changes.
You'll receive a message with an activation code which you'll have to enter in the PLUS ativation window. After entering it, relog on to Messenger Tigo and enjoy the PLUS features.
